Description
one half-pint (8 fluid ounces) of our concentrated elderberry syrup. This extra strength elderberry syrup for kids contains the 19% concentration evaluated in medical research studies.
Here’s how we make our elderberry syrup.
- Soak 50 grams (about 1/8 pound) of dried organic elderberries in 1 1/2 quarts of pure and lab tested spring water for 60 minutes.
- Boil 50 grams (about 1/8 pound) of dried organic elderberries in 1 1/2 quarts of pure and lab tested spring water for 45 minutes.
- Strain out the elderberries through a cheesecloth. This process should yield 1 pint of elderberry concentrate. Allow the elderberry concentrate to cool below 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups of raw wildflower honey.
That’s it! Through this process you achieve the same potent 19% concentration for children evaluated clinically and used in Sambucol. Unlike with Sambucol, you get the added benefit of raw honey and none of the additives.
The dosage used in those clinical studies was 15mL (about 1 tablespoon) of this 19% concentration taken every six hours.
Warning: Do not feed raw honey to children under 1 year of age! This product is not for kids under a year old.
Warning: Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid overdosing!
Refrigerate after opening.
